Theme : The coffee Title : The coffee flows too slowly

Description :

When I am making espresso coffees, the coffee comes out in drops (thin, weak spurts) and the flow time is very long (around 40 seconds). Furthermore, the coffee in the cup is not of high quality (the cream is very dark).

  Solution :  
   

There are several possible causes of this fault :
1- The ground coffee used is too fine.
2- The coffee has been packed down to firmly.
3- The quantity used is excessive.
4- The shower and sieves are blocked.
5- The water temperature is higher than 95°C.
6- The pressure supplied by the pump is too low (< 7 bar), or the pump is not working (mains pressure).

Cases 1, 2 and 3 can be resolved by adjusting the grinder settings. Cases 4, 5 and 6 require the attention of a technician, who will carry out the necessary maintenance operations.
